Francois Sylvester - Counselor

I was born in South Africa but have lived in New Zealand for most of my life and call Tauranga home.
I have had many life experiences such as volunteering in the NZ Fire Service for 11 years, travelling and working as a volunteer in Africa.
My passion for counselling grew as I spent time with people in my various experiences and travels. I discovered my desire and want for better skills to effectively listen and help people navigate through their shared experiences with me.
I have a passion for walking alongside people through the counselling journey and to support them in navigating through life's challenges. I consider it a deep privilege to share a welcoming, safe, and honoring space with a person who chooses to share their footsteps with me.

Counselling Options
My service provides:

Individual: Face-to-Face counselling from my Tauranga based office.
$130 per one hour session.

Couples Counselling: Face-to-Face from my Tauranga based office.
$150 per one and a half hour session.
​
Zoom - My service also provides a safe and confidential online therapy option using this platform. This service provides counselling to you from wherever you are, locally, further afield and overseas.
Same rates apply as per above.

WINZ/MSD Registered & Approved Supplier/Provider.
$95 per one hour session.
​
VAS (Victim Support) Approved Supplier/Provider.
​
FENZ (Fire Emergency NZ) Approved Supplier/Provider (FENZ personnel only).
​
Approved Provisional Member of the NZCCA Body of Ethical Practices.
